•Call for patient with 1 RN and 1 MD
• Role Clarification
o Interventionalist – get gloves, set up sterile table, assist with
patient prep & manifold.
o Interventional Fellow – get gloves, arterial access, set up
sterile table & manifold.
o Cardiology Fellow – evaluate patient, obtain consent, place
cath order & assist with patient prep.
o Primary RN (first RN here) – carry charge phone, get patient
name, call for patient (record time), receive report, hand off
sheath, leads on patient & sedation.
o Secondary RN (second RN) – manifold set up, hand off
equipment for case, begin charting and collect blood for labs (if
not already done).
o Technician – check patient in, STEMI data collection sheet,
copy patient records, documents time patient called for in log,
verify complete study at end of the case.

o Encourage written or verbal amongst each other or
email/verbal to Amy or Amish
o How is the process working, what was done that worked well?
o How does the team feel the case went overall?
o Professionalism
o Kudos
o Debrief
